With freezing temperatures and wintry precipitation predicted in Coastal Georgia, the Georgia Ports Authority will close all terminal operations in Savannah and Brunswick starting at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3 until further notice.

The massive CMA CGM Theodore Roosevelt is coming back to Savannah with a scheduled arrival on Sunday. The Roosevelt is a Neopanamax vessel capable of carrying 14,414 TEUs, or 20-foot equivalent units. The ship’s size wowed those gathered along the river in September when she made her first call on Savannah.
