Boyd re-elected to board of directors
Georgia Farm Bureau members in the organization’s 7th District recently re-elected Ben Boyd of Screven County to represent their district on the Georgia Farm Bureau Board of Directors for his second two-year term. The election was held Dec. 4 during the 75th annual Georgia Farm Bureau Convention on Jekyll Island. The GFB 7th District is comprised of 17 counties. Gary Bell of Evans County also serves as a GFB director for the district.

Two Hilton Head Public Service District staff members have won annual awards from the Sea Island District of the Water Environment Association of South Carolina.
Jim Hewitt, PSD Water Services Supervisor, was named the Water Treatment Operator of the Year. Scott Moffatt, PSD Water Quality Technician, was named the Lab Analyst of the Year. Hewitt and Moffatt will be entered in the Water Environment Association’s state-level annual awards competition in their respective categories.
