Xerox, service club donate to West Broad YMCA
Xerox Corporation and the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Mu Phi Chapter teamed up to support the Teen Success Club at the West Broad Street YMCA with a contribution of $3,300.
The contribution is part of the Xerox Community Involvement program, which is designed to support communities where they do business. The firm partnered with the local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Mu Phi Chapter, an international service organization active in the Savannah community.
The Teen Success Club is available to any student attending school in grades six to 12. It promotes civic responsibility, academic achievement, character development and career pathways. Club members also develop, with volunteer and staff mentors, a high school graduation plan and a post-high-school career plan.
They visit colleges and universities, are assisted with SAT and CRCT preparation and get to interact with different professionals in the community to learn about career opportunities.
