ARCS Foundation announces that Carol Young has been selected as one of the 2015-16 ARCS Scholars. Young was awarded the Cooley Award from the Cooley Family Foundation during the ARCS Atlanta Chapter Scholar Awards luncheon. Young has received the Cooley Award consecutively for four years.

Historic Savannah Foundation has appointed new officers and trustees. The following were elected to officer roles: chairman, Jeffrey S. Coastal Health District HIV director honored

HIV Director for the Coastal Health District Susan Alt has been named the HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board’s Certified Nurse of the Year.

The HIV/AIDS Certified Nurse of the Year is a prominent national award that recognizes an AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN) who exemplifies excellence in HIV/AIDS nursing and advances the mission of the HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board. Alt, who has maintained certification in HIV/AIDS nursing since 1997, received the award at the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care 28th annual Awards Ceremony in Chicago.

 

Attorney Janna Martin named to 10 Best’ list

The American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys has recognized personal injury attorney Janna Martin as “2015 10 Best Personal Injury Attorneys for Client Satisfaction.” The institute is a third-party attorney rating organization that publishes an annual list of the Top 10 Personal Injury attorneys in each state.

 

Johnson on National League of Cities Board

Savannah District 1 Alderman Van R. Johnson II was elected to the National League of Cities 2016 Board of Directors at the 2015 Congress of Cities and Exposition held in November in Nashville.
