Johnson elected to National League of Cities board

Savannah City Alderman Van R. Johnson II was elected to the National League of Cities board of directors at the group’s annual business meeting. Johnson was elected to his fourth one-year term and will play an important role as a leader of the nation’s largest and most representative membership and advocacy organization for city officials.

Linstroth named Top Young Professional

Bell honored as a role model for women in government

Savannah Mayor Pro-Tempore Carolyn H. Bell was awarded the 2016 Women in Municipal Government Leadership Award Nov. 18, at the National League of Cities’ City Summit in Pittsburgh. Mayor Pro-Tem Bell was celebrated as a trailblazer in her community and for her role in improving the lives of women and youth in Savannah.

Recovery center earns CARF accreditation

The Savannah clinic of Assisted Recovery Center of Georgia has received accreditation from CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). This accreditation covers all of medically assisted, inpatient and outpatient programs.
