Weichert, Realtors-The Sumner Group named its 2016 Office Award winners. RPI Roofing in Richmond Hill received the 2017 Excellence in Single-Ply award from Carlisle Syn Tec. RPI Roofing installed and warranted 2. 26 million square feet of Carlisle single-ply roofing systems over the years and completed 82 Perfect 10 installations as judged by Carlisle’s final inspection process.

Book Festival names officers, directors

Savannah Book Festival Board elected a new vice president, David Sovchen. Elected as new directors serving a three-year term are Ivy Council, executive vice president of human resources and chief compliance officer for Citi Trends Inc., Judy Lautzenhiser, a long-time SFB volunteer, and Richard Schulze, an eye surgeon in Savannah. At its annual meeting, the Savannah Book Festival also named Beau Anders as treasurer and Carolyn Szlasa as secretary. Mark Murphy will continue as president.

3 earn certifications

Thomas &Hutton has three new Certified Remote UAV pilots. Survey Party Chief Brad Lariscy, Staff Surveyor Cliff Wilson, and GIS Analyst Preston Evans, recently earned this certification. The Remote Pilot Certification is a requirement in order to fly drones legally and requires applicants to pass an FAA aeronautical knowledge exam. This exam tests knowledge in regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft, airspace classification and operating requirements, flight restrictions, aviation weather and its effects on small unmanned aircraft performance, emergency procedures, radio communication procedure, and more.
