Johnson, Manly re-elected State Bar board

Lester B. Johnson III of Lester B. Johnson III P.C. and John B. Manly of John B. Manly P.C. were re-elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia. Both were installed June 10 during the organization’s annual meeting. Johnson will continue to serve in the Eastern Judicial Circuit, Post 2 seat on the board. Manly will continue to serve in the Post 4 seat from the Eastern Circuit.

Schroeder recognized for 30 years of service

Gregg Schroeder was recognized by United Way for 30 years of service. He is president and CEO of United Way of the Coastal Empire. He began his career in 1985 in Atlanta as the chief financial officer of United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. He later became the chief operating officer for Heart of American United Way in Kansas City before becoming president for United Way of the Coastal Empire in 2002.

6 county health employees become specialists

Six employees of the Chatham County Environmental Health Office recently earned their Registered Environmental Health Specialists credentials by the National Environmental Health Association. Three Richmond Hill restaurants were recognized in the Georgia Department of Economic Development 2017 culinary guide Georgia Eats. The lowcountry boil from Fish Tales was chosen as one of the “100 Plates Locals Love,” Southern Image was recognized in the “Fried Chicken” category, and All Things Chocolate and More won in the “Welcome Sugar” category.
