In order to inspire travelers to visit Savannah and stay at Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District, Hotel Indigo partnered with global online fashion retailer ASOS to curate a clothing collection inspired by the city of Savannah.
The marketing initiative, called The ASOS x Hotel Indigo Edits, highlights seven of Hotel Indigo’s 48 boutique hotels to emphasize unique cities around the U.S.
“The Hotel Indigo team wanted to showcase hotels in different areas of the country to highlight the diversity of the portfolio across the U.S.,” said Jason Moskal, vice president of Lifestyle Brands for the Americas region of the InterContinental Hotels Group, which includes Hotel Indigo. “With Savannah’s deep appreciation for the arts and its history, this hotel brings to life a unique Southern feel unlike any other Southeastern city.”
Opened in March 2016, Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District rests in the building that was once a 19th century dry goods storage house and shop on the corner of what is today City Market.
With seven men’s and seven women’s collections, there are 140 pieces in total in the national program, with 20 of those 140 pieces in the Savannah collection.
Georgia-native and social media influencer Asiyami Gold selected pieces from ASOS’s men’s and women’s clothing website, which Gold then grouped and curated into the collection inspired by the city of Savannah.
The Savannah characteristics that were captured by the collection include the city’s Southern charm, horse-drawn carriages and arts, and references the historical trend with Victorian details.
For Hotel Indigo’s target audience, who’s interested in fashion and design, ASOS x Hotel Indigo Edits utilizes fashion to illustrate the hotel’s brand, while bringing the Savannah neighborhood to life through apparel and using Savannah’s charm.
The photo shoot and collection itself utilize the classic refined style of Savannah. The collection uses rich fabrics and smooth textures. From the mossy tree-lined streets to charming old-time trolleys, the project pulls inspiration from the city.
“The Hotel Indigo guest is interested in design and fashion so this program marries those two interest pillars,” Moskal said.
Hotel Indigo’s Savannah fashion collection has been featured on ASOS and Hotel Indigo social media channels, as well as ASOS’s and Hotel Indigo’s websites, with links to purchase outfits and learn more about the hotel brand.
The other U.S. cities selected for the ASOS x Hotel Indigo Edits initiative are New York City’s Lower East Side, Downtown Los Angeles, Denver Downtown, Alexandria Old Town, El Paso Downtown, and Nashville.
“We see the [Hotel Indigo] brand and each hotel as a catalyst for authentic local experiences. Each Hotel Indigo is unique and designed to reflect the local neighborhood, from its culture and its rich stories, to energy of the surrounding area,” said Moskal.
This is the first time Hotel Indigo partnered with ASOS. All items are available through ASOS’s website, www.asos.com.
