WTC offers class on international transactions

Does your business understand the “terms of sale” of your international transactions?

 

The World Trade Center Savannah will hold a class on the rights and obligations of both the importer and exporter from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at the WTC Savannah building on Hutchinson Island.

The class will help attendees learn how to mitigate the costs and risks associated with the transfer and delivery of goods while earning 4 CES/CCS credits. Topics covered will include an overview of international trade and functionalities and proper uses of Incoterms® rules.

Incoterms® rules are international commercial terms that are widely accepted and help facilitate international trade. Incoterms® rules clarify the communication of tasks, costs and risks associated with the transportation and delivery of goods.

The seminar will be led by Rennie Alston, CEO of American River International Ltd. Alston is regarded as a premiere customs regulatory expert, licensed customs broker, and global security specialist with more than 30 years of interactive work experience with the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection.

The World Academy, a nationally recognized training organization that offers import/export trade compliance education and training, will lead the seminar.
