Video from 2014 Savannah's Natural Hair Extravaganza
Since its first show in 2011, Savannah’s Natural Hair Extravaganza has grown in size and scope. Now celebrating its 5th year, this convention brings together the most innovative creative hair professionals to the Coastal Empire each September.
Stylist Alia Freeman heads up this incredible networking and educational show that she says will bring huge numbers of participants and attendees from throughout the Southeast. Freeman says the goal of the annual event is to “lead more men and women into embracing their natural hair and provide the knowledge to keep their hair healthy.” What makes Savannah’s Natural Hair Extravaganza different than other shows is educational classes on technique and products, and hands-on demonstrations for stylists as well as the general public. “Our classes will specifically provide product knowledge needed to deal with different curl patterns and textures,” adds Freeman.
This year there are several exclusive ways to be a part of the one-day event, held Sunday, September 27 at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum. This intimate setting promises to get a company’s brand and products in front of each and every attendee.
